blog Thanks to HostGator for Both Reliable Service and MoneyHostGator has become #1 blog hosting providers to many bloggers including eblogtip. I have already used several hosting providers like GoDaddy, JustHost, BlueHost and now with HostGator. I am not against to my previous providers as they have been so far so good to some extent and they seemed not relevant to my blogs then I switched to HostGator.

There are many more features that you can explore by yourself and I just want to list out the key ones that I love the most and other hosting providers can not offer you nowadays.

If you are running a website/blog with high amount of traffic and you do not want your sites down, you will consider the most stable, reliable provider to keep your readers with you. I am right after testing several hosting companies and get the right one now.

  • Customer service is good and my requests were always answered quickly with high responsibility,
  • Not many blogs/websites hosted on every server then my blog are so fast compared to current cheap hosting providers,
  • You can use more than 25% CPU that almost other hosting providers can not provide you (normally only 10% maximum)
  • Transfer domain and website for free (it is good for newbies if you are not familiar with transfer or your database is too big to do on your own),
  • Anti-hacker and Anti-DDos technology has been integrated into HostGator (you will never be afraid of being hacked or DDos, if yes, HostGator will never let you alone),
  • Much more…

Another thing that I have not shared with you is that HostGator has its own affiliate program that helps you make some extra cash by promoting their service to your readers and earn commission for every successful sales generated and I have earned some for every month. However, December seems to be the most profitable month with HostGator even the economic crisis does not end!

Here are my revenue from HostGator this month up to December 20, 2009:

hostgator december revenue Thanks to HostGator for Both Reliable Service and Money

What I learned from this:

  • Promote the right hosting provider, not cheap with low quality,
  • You should use that hosting then you have rationale to promote it. If you are not using it, how can your readers trust you?
  • Using different channels like twitter, facebook, digg, reviews
  • Provide the highest promo code on different events that help your readers have some savings like Black Friday, Christmas…You can get $25 off here,
  • Your own creatives

I know, my earning from HostGator is so little and not much as yours but I am happy with it. I am trying to boost my sales with HostGator and other hosting affiliate programs in the coming time and I will keep you posted on this.

All above, I see much in 2 wonderful features of Hosgator that you have highlighted. So far, a little blogger like and some other may face up with some deadly accident, like DOS.

I hope one day I would transfer my home from Dreamhost to Hosgator and earn some money by the way you do. :$$$:

Iam trying to conver some material from your blog about theme “Blogger Viet and a dream to get bulk” :yeah: . Mail you soon!

thanks for sharing the same.. Till now i am using bizzhost.com hosting. Not only my personal blog or website but i have hosted around 20 to 25 my USA, UK and Canada client’s website with Bizzhost. They dont have any affiliate program and as well i never asked them any commission because they helped me all the way whenever in need. Its Indian based company but with very good support and as well in business relationship.

I haven’t tried HostGator yet but after going through your post i feel to try it out. The main problem is that HostGator is in another country and they have different terms and conditions.

Thanks a lot for awesome review and post.

Each hosting company has its own strengths and weakness and I think each blogger has his own preference and HostGator is not the only one hosting provider out there. If you are happy with bizzhost, stay there and enjoy and if you would like to give HostGator a try, you can do it with “GOONMONTH” for 1 month FREE :yeah:

I think there is a new coupon called “CACTUS” which will give you 25$ off when you sign up with the Baby plan. It also will give you a free domain. That means you will have one month free with a free domain :yeah:

hey sorry I got confused with the coupon, the coupon is HOUSTON, and you have to sign up through a link ( I sent you the link right !). The other CACTUS is also good enough and gives 25$ off but I don’t know you get a free domain for that or not.

I have used JustHost for just 3 weeks but they limited CPU usage up to 10% max and now I am happy with HostGator and I am sure you will love HostGator if you switch to it :yeah:

the 25% of cpu usage is great, i guess even godaddy gives 10% which is why am getting the internal server errors sometimes, am planning to move on to hostgator soon :)

Tran Tinh December 22, 2009 at 11:42 pm

I used GoDaddy as the first premium hosting. I ordered as I would like to have my domain and hosting in one place but I was wrong then :crying:

Reply

Dennis Edell December 23, 2009 at 8:00 am

Ut oh, sorry to pee in your cereal here, but domain and hosting in the same place is a baaad idea!

Let’s say you have a disagreement with your hosting company; bad enough that you want to cancel and get your hosting elsewhere. When it comes time to give your domain name back, they can give you a whole lotta unnecessary hassles….I’ve seen it happen.
