This is a shocking news to me and many of you too that Yahoo will kill Mybloglog in January after Yahoo 360, Geocities. However, Yahoo has its own strategy but there is no official announcement yet.
Today, I have just read this on ReadWriteWeb blog and feel shocked as Mybloglog has become my friend and I am having a lot of friends on that network and I am sure you will be disappointed about this news, are you?
I guess that if Mybloglog is closed down, so what would be the best alternative now? I will choose Blogcatalog which has same structure and feature. Further, blogcatalog is much improved rather than mybloglog then the traffic flow will surely goes to blogcatalog or facebook.
What do you think about this? Where would you go?

That’s not a bad news, as contra, We shouldn’t collect account to blogging any more. we are multiples of “food” but not multiples of traffic

You are right to some extent but many bloggers has mainstream of traffic from mybloglog and if mybloglog is closed, that is a nightmare too

Yeah , I usually use mybloglog to update my post & it will show status link to my post on Y!M , I had got for me some traffic, I think if Mybloglog close , verry much blogger will sad :crying:

Now, you can not but utilize the YM to do it or Yahoo Profile but it seems not automatic as always :yeah:
It is a bad news for me anyway i need to focus on blogcatalog in future it will be better than mybloglog.

I think mybloglog lost its champion position and could not benefit Yahoo enough then they are right to kill it to save money and resource. It is a bad decision and hard to say that Yahoo will still keep it :smoking:
What are they upto?
Do they wan’t to lose their place themself?
It’s kind a wired these days..! I guess someday they will even close Yahoo mail.!

That is hell for Yahoo if they close Yahoo Mail, it is impossible as Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger are only two tools to survive them now :nooo:

Yes, but I did not get much traffic from it then it would be fine with me, blogcatalog will get more members too
ya i agree with you all its a sad news for almost every one but it will bring some thing new so lets hope for the better in future. any ways i am new to this site just joined it and found this site quit interesting one good topics going all around and i hope i will continue in the future as well thanks!!!

Actually, Yahoo Search is dead partially when Bing acquired it and only Yahoo Messenger can be their tool and hope they will not close it too :smoking:

They did loose their ground as Facebook is now taking it :yeah:
That is the reason i stopped using yahoo services which is not reliable.. I dont why the hell they will launch the websites and shut them down. . This is ridiculous… soon they may also close their email and flickr (remember they have already closed yahoo photos)

You are right and I guess this is what Yahoo itself did not like to be lost, however, they could not and thinking about another strategy to beat Google. Hope it can go up again sooner to be real competitor of Google :smoking:

You can’t be serious. I soooooo did not know that. It’s a shame, but oh well, c’est la vie. There are so many other ways to network online that the end of MyBlogLog isn’t the be all and end all. As bloggers, we’ll just adapt and move on.

I hope Yahoo! won’t closing down MyBlogLog.
If they still closing down MyBlogLog we can call Yahoo! as a Community Killer after Yahoo! closed down Geocities.
