For some reasons a lot of people find this site through my friends’ blog, marketing, twitter, Google, Yahoo or Bing…and think I’m writing it solely for the money, that I’m selling something or trying to sign people up for some sinister and selfish purpose.

On one level I understand this – there is a lot of hype and spin out there in the ‘make money online’ field and readers are well advised to be cautious and a little skeptical about what they read. On the other hand however it is hard when you do have genuine motivations to know how to convey them.

Regular readers of All Tips for Bloggers know that I’m not just in it for the ‘money’ – I share what I know as openly as possible. Every way I know to improve a blog’s performance goes onto the blog at some point or another – it’s all in my archives for free. Additionally, my blog is quite new then my long term purpose now is to build up a good image and reputation and the money will come naturally rather than requested blogging for cash.

Having said this – I do ‘get’ things out of this blog (including money) and want to declare it up front in the hope that it might give you a more complete picture of my motivations from maintaining All Tips for Bloggers– another version in English for my Vietnamese one.

So What do I get out of All Tips for Blogger?

I believe in being transparent with one’s blogging so as part of that I want to tell you what I gain from this blog up front. Here’s what I receive from All Tips for Bloggers:

Money – Yes, I would like to make some money from this blog to cover my hosting & domain, however, I have not made any cents now. You’ll see ads in different parts of the blog (sidebar, header, below posts) as well as some affiliate promotions, but they have all not bring me any bucks so far.

I only promote affiliate programs that I believe in and that I think will be relevant to the readers of All Tips for Bloggers. I don’t note every time I use an affiliate link – this is a blog about SEO tips & making money from blogging, there shouldn’t be any surprises that I’m doing just that.

I have several other blogs that make significantly more than this one (sorry as I can not disclose them here) and if I was motivated purely by accumulating money I’d concentrate more on those rather than investing too much time on this blog without any bucks. However, giving more to receiving more is my strategy! I am still in learning process, so I would love to give what I know in the hope to get what I do not know from your guys, my readers. On one occasion I will make few sponsored posts (not yet but hope to do so soon) but clearly focusing on what topic this blog has been covering, not accepting any offer for solely money. Therefore, my readers, you, will not be disappointed or discouraged with these relevant posts.

Satisfaction – I enjoy this blog. I enjoy writing the content and I enjoy meeting and helping readers as well as reading my readers’ blog contents as always. This is a genuine motivation for doing what I do here. People often ask me why I give my ’secrets’ away for free – to be honest I just can’t seem to keep them to myself – I like to help people.

What does this Blog Cost me?

Frankly, I should be transparent if I have decided to share all with you guys here. Blogging is a fun game with me and it helps me improve my writing skills; learn more knowledge and experiences from my readers. Some of the gained knowledge & skills has contributed to my full time job productivity. I am happy with this.

Time – I spend more time writing posts for this blog than any of my others. The posts here are generally honest, better researched and more thoughtful than my other blogs. All of them have been carefully outlined with reference to different sources to make it as much useful as possible. That is what I would like to focus on, not like other blogs which just aggregate contents from existing blogs.

And so I Blog

As I said earlier, I have not set any plans to switch to full time blogger as I still have my full time job to survive my life and my family. Blogging now is just for fun and learning. However, no one knows that I will step up to full time in the future. I can not tell you this right now.
